Confidence in Every Fiber

Which Feel Good Hair is Right for You?

With strands that look, move, and feel like natural hair, every ENVY style gives women the ability to step into their day with total confidence. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your wig-wearing journey, there are many aspects to consider when choosing a new wig or hairpiece—not least of which is fiber. Human Hair, Synthetic and Blended fibers each offer unique benefits—and ENVY offers exclusive takes on two of them!

Ready-to-Wear Synthetic

Synthetic wigs are traditionally less expensive than human hair or blends, and they’re often more durable. ENVY’s Ready-to-Wear Synthetic wigs are made from an ultra-premium 100% Kanekalon® fiber. These strands have a soft, human hair-like texture and are renowned for holding their shine, shade, and shape like no other synthetic material on the market.

Because they retain the memory of the original style, wigs made from Kanekalon fibers are ready to wear out of the box with no extra styling required—those waves and curls bounce back into place with just a little tousle. “I have about 7 wigs—but ENVY’s is hands-down my favorite,” swears one customer. “The color, style, length, and way it lays right out of the box is just perfect.”

The price point of synthetic wigs is also a reason many wig-wearers opt for this fiber. If you’re looking to build your own wig wardrobe, adding in synthetic styles means you can collect a variety of styles and colors without breaking the bank. At the very least, regular wearers of wigs should have at least two to choose from, suggests ENVY Designer & CEO, Alan Eaton. “Rotating them extends their wearable life and avoids excessive cleaning.”

Your Wig Wardrobe

Building a wig wardrobe doesn’t necessarily mean buying several of the same style in the same color. The beauty of wigs is the ability they offer to change your look on a whim. Consider adding a grey style to get in on the silver hair craze, or switch to blonde for the summer season. (Many women find “going blonde” makes them feel younger and more confident.) Or try out one of this summer’s biggest hairstyle trends: Brianna and Wendi give you perfect Mermaid Beach Waves, as seen on the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Zendaya. Or style Celeste or Bobbi into the slicked back bun with piece-y, face-framing strands (AKA “Tinker Bell” hair) that Megan Fox and Katy Perry have modeled on Instagram.

30% Human Hair. 70% Synthetic Hair. 100% You.™

The stylability of EnvyHair allows you to make these looks uniquely your own. A step up from pure synthetic fibers, but not nearly as costly as human hair, this exclusive blend gives you the best of both worlds. The natural ability of human hair to withstand higher levels of heat than traditional synthetic, combined with the heat-friendly fibers that go into EnvyHair, means you can use heat-styling implements on these wigs (up to 356℉). And because they’re not 100% human hair, not only are they more affordable, but they’ll stay looking beautiful and healthy for longer than a fully human hair product.

For a night out with the girls, plug in the curling iron and add some loose waves to Taryn. Opt for the retro glam look, made popular recently by Taylor Swift, by sweeping those long bangs to one side.

While the EnvyHair collection offers the freedom of heat-styling, there are a few rules to follow:

  1. Pinning your wig to a canvas block head before styling will keep it secure and give you a 360° view while you’re working. Just make sure to only stick pins through the durable parts of the cap, like the ear tabs or velvet material at the nape, and avoid puncturing the monofilament or lace.
  2. When using a blow dryer on your wig, be sure to keep the heat setting on low and use an air concentrator attachment to avoid scorching the fibers. Aim the dryer at the roots and angle it so the air flows downward toward the ends.
  3. While EnvyHair will withstand temperatures up to 356℉, using your styling tool at the low/medium setting will typically get the job done just as well, and using lower temps will help keep your wig looking healthier for longer.

#ProTip: Whether you’re using a curling iron or flat iron, separate the hair into sections that are no wider than the tool you’re using. This will help you maintain more control over the fibers throughout the process and avoid pulling or stretching fibers out of shape.

With one customer calling EnvyHair, “The best feeling fibers I’ve ever had” and another raving, “There’s nothing wiggy” about ENVY’s Ready-to-wear synthetic styles, there’s clearly a lot to love about ENVY fibers. Which ENVY wig will you try next?

Words of Wigdom
The secret to a perfectly natural look is a slightly imperfect part, says Designer and CEO, Alan Eaton. “Gently reposition strands along the part line or snip a few wispy pieces using manicure scissors—AND some restraint—for a slightly messy part that looks all your own.”
“Throughout my 20-year career, women’s comfort has always been at the top of my mind,” says Designer and CEO, Alan Eaton, whose Stretch Cap Technology hugs the perimeter while eliminating pressure points for maximum comfort.”
For first-time wig wearers, “The trick is to stay close to the color of your eyebrows,” notes Designer and CEO, Alan Eaton. If not, “then consider dyeing your eyebrows to match your chosen wig color.”
“Few people know that wigs can be styled just like natural hair—and that most hairstylists are happy to give your wig a custom cut,” says Designer and CEO, Alan Eaton. “Trimming bangs and shaping to your exact specifications can help make your wig indecipherable from your own natural hair.”
“The “Grey Hair, Don’t Care” trend—which saw women embracing their grey—is stronger than ever. And not just with the over-50 crowd. “Silver is chic, edgy and looks great on almost anyone,” says Designer and CEO, Alan Eaton, who offers nearly every EnvyHair™ and synthetic style in 3 multi-dimensional grey shades.”
